The church of Cabezón de la Sal is the second of the congregations that was established in Cantabria. In 1992, the place of worship was inaugurated with the name Iglesia Nueva Vida Cantabria, in the La Brañona 22 Urbanization, where it is still located.

Pastor Jesús Calvo has led this congregation since its beginnings.

I would like to welcome you to the evangelical church, Nueva Vida Christian Center of Cabezón de la Sal. The name of our town has its origin in some salt deposits that were exploited in very remote times, the name "Cabezón" corresponding to a measure of salt given by the Romans. According to them there was nothing more useful than the sun and salt (nil utilius sole et sale). This phrase, like a tongue twister, links us to the words of Jesus to his disciples "...you are the light of the world... and the salt of the earth", which expresses very well what we would like to be for this part of Cantabria.

I would love to invite you to have a real experience with a God, who is alive and who is yet to be discovered. Invite you to approach the Bible, a book that, far from being insipid, has a lot of salt for your life. And I invite you to meet people who maintain not only a special relationship with God, but also a special relationship with the people around them. They are people who seek to serve the common good, to be a blessing to society, just as Jesus asked his disciples to be light and salt.
