History of our churches

In 1981, the first evangelical congregation in Cantabria was established in Santander, thanks to the initiative of the Drost family sent by the evangelical mission Atlantic Mission. Later, in 1992, the second congregation emerged in Cabezón de la Sal, called Iglesia Nueva Vida Cantabria, led since then by Pastor Jesús Calvo. Furthermore, in 1995, the third congregation was established in Torrelavega, under the direction of Pastor César Seijas Mazón in 2000.

Since its inception, the congregations have strived to socialize the evangelical movement in Spain, facing the ignorance and lack of acceptance that has prevailed towards evangelical churches in a country with a strong Christian tradition. Preaching the gospel of Christ, evangelical churches proclaim Jesus Christ as the son of God, born of the virgin Mary, who died for the sins of humanity, was resurrected and will return to judge the living and the dead, being the only mediator between God and people.
